Stays here are often family ones, in developments with a pool set slightly back from the seafront. It is a place where I am regularly asked for two sessions in a row, or for a Mum-to-Be Ritual while the rest of the family is on the beach. The flats are generally spacious, and enclosed terraces work well once the heat has gone.

Questions about Armação de Pêra
- Can two of us in the same family have a session back to back?
- Yes, and it is common here. I leave the table set up and change the linen in between. Tell me when you book so I can set aside the time.
- My development has a pool, can we do it beside it?
- If the spot is sheltered from view and from the wind, yes. Otherwise indoors is more comfortable: oiled skin picks up sand quickly, and the wind chills more than you would think.
- I have children with me, is that possible?
- The session is yours: someone needs to be able to look after them for the hour, otherwise the whole point is lost. I do not massage children.
